Inner Bark Coaching
Yaw Nts Lha Ximana! My name is Nola Mack, also known as Chef Ximana, and I am from the Nuxalk Nation.
I am the owner of Inner Bark, where I work as a Medicine Chef, supporting women in healing through food as medicine. My work is rooted in returning to traditional nourishment—roots, berries, fish, broths, and healthy fats—foods that have sustained our people for generations.
I help women rebuild strength, balance hormones, calm inflammation, and reconnect with their bodies through ancestral food knowledge. This work goes beyond recipes—it is about remembering who we are and how we are meant to be nourished.
Through coaching, guest cheffing, cooking classes, workshops, and food safety instruction, I create community food experiences that restore health from the ground up.
My work nourishes families through ancestral wisdom, reclaiming the healing power of transformational fats and traditional foods—so we can strengthen body, spirit, and community together.

Testimonials
Voices of Transformation
“I found the tea blending class both informative and engaging. Nola shared her knowledge with clarity and confidence, making the experience easy to follow. I learned new foraging practices and practical ways to use plants and herbs in everyday life. I truly enjoy learning in this hands-on way.”
— Krystal Earle, Quesnel, BC
"I just wanted to send a short note about the powerful work you are doing; sorely needed. Genuinely it made me consider the food within the healthcare system and how the western clinical lens has zapped any history or culture out of it. I come from a people where food is the centre of our cultural experience."
- Hussain v- VCH
"Inner Bark Coaching has helped me to see the joy in food."
- Mara P., Nuxalk Nation Member
